Owt-A-Town Productions (OATP) was founded by Daron P. Stewart, “‘ow’t” of the pain felt from traveling back and forth to auditions. Since becoming a member of South Carolina's AIE, Arts-In-Education roster in 2004 - performing in school districts, colleges and universities; featured at festivals such as the North Charleston Arts Festival, Moja Festival, Gullah Festival, the National Juneteenth Jazz and Arts Festival and the NCORE Conference, OATP has been able to use the art of theatre as an essential race-building tool.
